Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Many experts believe CBT is the gold standard of therapy. According to the APA “CBT treatment usually involves efforts to change thinking patterns.” CBT posits that behaviors, thoughts, and emotions are all interconnected. Since we have control over our thoughts it is possible to change our behaviors and emotions. This is how it helps people with depression and other mental health disorders. If thoughts are powerful enough to do that what else can they do for us?
